Latest News and Event from We Give Thanks

This year’s Thanksgiving event is dedicated to one of our memorable volunteers, Gerald “Grandpa Jerry” Bayless. Jerry volunteered on Thanksgiving for the last seven years. Jerry volunteered with his daughter, Michele, as they graciously prepared the vegetables to compliment a delicious Thanksgiving meal to serve thousands of people.

Jerry believed in volunteering and giving to charities. Jerry was an amazing, hard-working  RETIRED NAVY VET who was actively involved in his church, volunteering and going on motorcycle rides. He made many friendships with families as a crossing guard and humbly volunteered at USS Iowa in San Pedro.

Jerry had a heart of gold, a passion for helping others and always had a smile on his face. Jerry’s energy, enthusiasm and cheerful smile will be forever missed.

Thanks for being a part of our We Give Thanks family.
